After a rough work week the only thing I've wanted to do was sleep. Last night I wasnt sure if I'm gonna make it to today's long run with @blackrosesnyc and if I would be ready again for 10 Miles! This morning looked like this: got up at 5am, we arrived in Beacon 5hrs later, started off with my pace partner @vicssss, got through some crazy hills and my ankles, knees and hips AND mind were telling me: stop running girl. Couldnt keep up with the pack either.. But you know what? Even if I kept it super easy and slower today, I didnt stop except for THIS - thank you for the positive vibes Victoria ♥ No impressive numbers to log in - but an incredible and amazing day with the crew.
Although it is tough right now to run due to injuries and mental bullshit - we have to remind ourselves why we lace up our shoes, why we get out the door, why we run when its snowing and cold outside, why we miss it so much when we dont do it, why we go beyond comfort zones and try to embrace the change. This craving for freedom will always knock on the door - will you open it? Let's appreciate our lungs, legs, feet - body in general - all the people who show up to support you - even the famous busdriver who popped up every two mile to run next to us - more and more!
