Back in 2013, when I was an editor at the German online fashion publication Lesmads.de by Hubert Burda Media, I wrote and shot numerous articles ranging from Fashion Week and Event coverage, interviews, product reviews and street style shoots. Unfortunately, the website went offline in January 2016, leaving no accessible link behind. One of the interviews was with Susie Bubble and is translated in English here.

Before diving into fashion and lifestyle, I wrote a monthly column about my travels during my gap year for my local newspaper (2011-2012). Furthermore, I was involved as an editor in a college newspaper (St. Elizabeth, NJ, 2011) and as a Fairtrade ambassador, wrote several print articles about the Fairtrade movement in my hometown (2014-2015).

What is Fairtrade?

Fairtrade is a global movement, determined to help producers and workers in developing countries achieve better conditions and to "get a fair share of the benefits of trade". By promoting sustainability, this "is based on a partnership between producers and consumers. When farmers can sell on Fairtrade terms, it provides them with a better deal and improved terms of trade. This allows them the opportunity to improve their lives and plan for their future. Fairtrade offers consumers a powerful way to reduce poverty through their every day shopping." by Fairtrade International.
